Week 4 - September 17th to September 21st



During this week we will "unpack" Chapter 2, "Beginnings" using Scripture and a few handouts (including notes) for consideration. 

Looking ahead : There will be Chapter Two quiz or test (depending how far we get into the material) Thursday, September 27th, Day 4. It will include your homework as well as notes introduced in class.

HaShem will generally be substituted for Adonai. A popular expression containing this phrase is Baruch HaShem, meaning "Thank God" (literally, "Blessed be the Name").

Kol Nidre is an Aramaic declaration recited in the synagogue before the beginning of the evening service on every Yom Kippur.
