The Exodus occurred 450 years after the patriarch Joseph. The Exodus is the most important event in Israel's history. The Exodus is an ongoing, everyday experience (The Hiding Place, Civil Rights Movement, Migration and Immigration...)
Assignments for Chapter 3
Your homework for this week and part of next will be to carefully read the text (pages 57 - 76) and Scripture passages (see below), as well as complete the questions in the Bible Project notes and journal questions (posted according to day) in your note section.
THREE "NEW" THINGS RELATED TO HOMEWORK:
1. Along with reading your text, read the Scripture passages within the text. For example, on page 59 of your text you will see two different passages from the Book of Exodus - Exodus 1:6-22; 2: 1- 15 and Exodus 3: 1 -22, 4 1 -14. Read these along with all other Scripture readings within the chapter.
2. There will be a take home (graded) assignment on the Ten Commandments. In this assignment, you will ask an adult at home to help with the completion of it.
3. In addition to the reading, I will be assigning homework journal questions for class discussion. A couple of the questions will be started in class, a couple will be given for you to complete at home.
